Him, his cat, and a tale of love

Once in a while, while wandering around in the vast world of books, you encounter one book that shakes your feelings to the core. And that feeling may fade over time, but it never completely goes away. A book that's so heartwarming that you want to keep it close to your heart, at the same time so heartwrenching that you have a hard time re-reading it. An one-of-a-kind emotional book.

The Travelling Cat Chronicles is one of those books.

As stated in the synopsis, it is story about a cat travelling with his owner from the cat's point of view.

Which part interested me? The fact that despite loving his cat with all his heart, he was going to give the away due to unavoidable circumstances. What could this 'unavoidable circumstances' be? With this question in my mind, I sat down to read The Travelling Cat Chronicles by Hiro Arikawa.

As I continued, I was immersed into the story. What unfolded before me was heartwarming tales of love. Love between pet and its owner. Familial love. Friendship.

It was heartwarming until it was heartbreaking.

The part that moved me the most was the last part. Even now my heart aches thinking about it. You'll have to give the book a try to understand what I mean.

After reading this book, I don’t think I would be able to look at someone with a pet in the same way again.
